Nevis natural hot Spring
One of the best ways to spend a relaxing morning on the islands is to visit the hot springs on Nevis. The hot spring originates from the volcano and the hot healing waters were adopted by the Nevisians as the local baths. There is a small foot bridge going over the bath stream to a shop ran by locals where you can rent bowls, facecloths and buy cold bottled drinks. You will need a drink when you get out. The spring has three geothermal baths that warm naturally to around 40-42 degrees, which are available to use 24/7. The natural minerals in the spring water have medicinal properties, helping to relax tired muscles, ease pain and detoxify. There is no cost to visit the Nevis Hot Springs – the island simply asks guests to leave the springs in the same condition as when they arrived.
Nevis Peak
Nevis Peak is a dormant stratovolcano and the highest point on the island of Nevis. The height is approximately 3000 feet. The environment surrounding the trail is a rugged, nearly impenetrable jungle, filled with lush rainforest plants and tall trees reaching skyward in an attempt to find sunlight. The trail offers few opportunities to see much of the island through the thick green foliage, although there are a couple of spots that provide spectacular views of Nevis and the surrounding ocean below.
